Thank you for your interest in our Adaptive Fishing Adventures!
Through generous donations, Challenge Mountain provides on-water activities like boating, fishing and kayaking. Locations range from Joan’s Landing on Walloon Lake, Deer Lake and Lake Charlevoix. The Challenge Mountain pontoon boat is wheelchair accessible for participants with varying levels of mobility to enjoy the outdoors and experience catch-and-release fishing. WE WILL NOT HAVE A PONTOON BOAT FOR THIS SUMMER,. ALL FISHING ACTIVITIES WILL BE MOVED TO LAND BASED FISHING SPOTS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Participants gain personal fulfillment through a sense of accomplishment and a feeling of acceptance that translates positively into their everyday lives. These experiences create positive individual and group development, while building social and character skills.
Location: Petoskey Lime Kiln Fishing Pond, Located in Bayfront Park
Time of Event: 10:00am - 12:00pm
Cost: Free
Things to Bring: Yourself. Fishing poles and bait will be provided. We reccomend bringing a folding chair if the participant will need to sit during the event.
